If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway.　（あなたが良いことをしても人はわがままだと非難するし動機を邪推する。それはそれとして、いつも良いことをしなさい。）

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.　（あなたが成功すると、間違った友人と本当の敵を得る。それはそれとして、成功させなさい。）

The good you do today, will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.　（あなたがする今日の良いことは明日には忘れられる。それはそれとして、よいことをしなさい。）
